About the Role

We are seeking a driven and principled attorney to join a thriving practice focused on personal injury and medical malpractice litigation. This position is ideal for someone who values high-quality legal work, strong client advocacy, and the flexibility of a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a Caseload: Handle a diverse range of personal injury and medical malpractice cases from intake through resolution.
• Client Engagement: Provide empathetic and effective communication to clients throughout their legal journey.
• Litigation & Advocacy: Draft persuasive demand letters, negotiate settlements, and represent clients in depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
• Legal Strategy: Conduct in-depth legal research and contribute to litigation strategies in collaboration with a skilled team.
• Team Collaboration: Participate in weekly team meetings and coordinate with attorneys and paralegals on complex matters.
• Comprehensive Involvement: Take part in all phases of litigation, offering meaningful contributions to each case.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in litigation with a strong emphasis on personal injury.
• Specialization: Experience with medical malpractice and complex litigation is a plus.
• Client-Centered: Commitment to providing responsive and compassionate service.
• Legal Expertise: Strong research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Organization: Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Licensure: JD required; must be licensed to practice in Rhode Island. Licensure in MA and/or CT is a plus.
