Howden Re is looking for a detail-oriented claims/accounting professional to manage loss notices, proofs of loss, and treaty coverage reviews. You will prepare loss calculations, process transactions in accounting systems, and track reinsurer settlements for timely client funding.

Responsibilities include monitoring deadlines, attending client audits, and supporting Schedule F funding calculations with Letters of Credit. Strong MS Office skills and a Bachelor’s degree are required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsabilidades

• Receive loss notices, status updates, and proofs of loss from clients and forward to reinsurers.
• Confirm coverage under treaty wording and calculate loss reporting requirements.
• Prepare/review loss calculations to ensure accuracy with contract terms.
• Process claims transactions in accounting and claims system.
• Track reinsurer settlements and forward funds to clients promptly.
• Attend client claims audits as needed and support accounting functions.
• Review new contract wordings and input terms into systems.
• Monitor reporting deadlines and request premiums from clients.
• Prepare reporting forms and adjustments for client use.
• Assist in calculating Schedule F funding and obtain Letters of Credit.
• Monitor brokerage revenue forecast and approvals for reinsurers.
