Job Title: Actuary - Reinsurance Pricing

You will lead and perform complex analyses for the full range of actuarial activities related to reinsurance pricing for a line of business (LOB). Build models and projections to enable the business to generate consistent and sound prices. Develop forecasts and models for reinsurance. Serve as a subject matter expert and consultant to business partners throughout the organization. Present findings and recommendations regarding development or effectiveness.

You will report to the Director, Actuary - Reinsurance.

Position Compensation Range:

$111,000.00 - $190,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities

• Develop relationships with core business partners and provide insights and solutions to address specific concerns.
• Explore new concepts, statistical models, and data sources to deliver innovative solutions.
• Contribute to all aspects of pricing and own recurring processes.
• Facilitate the pricing strategy.
• Develop pricing for new products and rating structures.
• Monitor industry and competitor trends to assess potential impacts.
• Analyze the profitability of assumed casualty treaty reinsurance opportunities.
• Maintain a portfolio analytics framework with consistent standards.
• Create a collaborative, performance-driven environment by fostering trust, transparency, and inclusion. Mentor team members.
• Collaborate with Underwriting on potential deals.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Education Requirements

• Experience providing customer-driven solutions and support.
• Experience analyzing assumed reinsurance treaties and pricing submissions.
• Solid understanding of complex insurance and reinsurance structures, property and casualty products, and industry trends.
• Knowledge of the global reinsurance industry, regulatory constraints, and market dynamics.
• Proficiency with Excel, SQL, Python, and basic programming.
• Knowledge of catastrophe models such as RMS and AIR.
• Expertise in advanced financial and statistical analysis techniques, including actuarial methods.
• Understanding of data models and database design.
• Associate or Fellow in Casualty Actuary Society (ACAS or FCAS).
