Job summary

Kuvare is seeking an Intermediate Reinsurance Accountant to join our finance team in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will record transactions, prepare reconciliations, and generate management reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to support settlement statements with external reinsurers.

You will analyze direct and ceded claims, coordinate with claims and actuarial teams, and contribute to quarterly reporting packages while maintaining internal control standards and regulatory schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting/Finance.
• Proven understanding of reinsurance administration or ability to comprehend.
• PC literacy with knowledge of data mining exercises and spreadsheet automation.

Responsibilities

• Prepares accounting & reporting for Reinsurance, including settlement reports and distribution to external reinsurers.
• Prepares journal entries and posts to accounting systems; researches and clears suspense.
• Prepares reconciliations from TPAs to general ledger and data warehouse; assists with reserves and accruals.
