Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• On-the-job training or apprenticeship in construction or steel fixing.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications.
• Measure, cut, and bend reinforcing steel bars using hand tools or machines.
• Tie rebar together using wire, clips, or welding equipment.
• Position and secure steel bars, mesh, or cages in concrete forms.
• Install spacers and supports to ensure proper alignment and coverage.
• Inspect reinforcement work to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other construction workers.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
