Reliable Medical in Franklin, TN is seeking a Reimbursement Specialist to ensure accurate, compliant billing in coordination with insurance payers and regulatory guidelines. The role reports to the Director of Reimbursement and is supervised by the Reimbursement Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Healthcare-related industry experience preferred.
• 2–3 years minimum in medical billing.
• Brightree and/or DME experience preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance requirements and policy guidelines.
• Type over 30 WPM and navigate billing systems efficiently.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain reimbursement programs ensuring compliance with current payments and regulations.
• Review authorizations, prescriptions, and verification for claims for accuracy and medical necessity.
• Minimize accounts receivable by correcting, resubmitting, and appealing claims; communicate with payers.
• Review payer explanations of benefits and ensure postings align with documents; escalate issues as needed.
• Manage pick-ups, exchanges, and returns for serialized and non-serialized equipment to protect operations.
• Follow up on claims within payer requirements to avoid write-offs.
• Request adjustments, write-offs, or refunds on balances over $1,000.
• Respond to customer inquiries about payments, benefits, and insurance policies.
• Submit medical records to payers to facilitate payment or audits.
• Meet or exceed KPIs and productivity targets; perform other duties as assigned.
