As our Reimbursement and Market Access Specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring patient access to our innovative IVS products by supporting healthcare providers through the complex reimbursement landscape. You’ll be the go-to expert for both internal teams and external customers on coding, coverage, payment, and patient access processes—ensuring successful navigation of the billing, prior authorization, and appeals process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to day-to-day reimbursement inquiries from field sales teams, physicians, ASCs, and hospital providers.
- Provide accurate and timely information via phone, voicemail, email, and our Coding Hotline.
- Research and interpret reimbursement codes and payer policies (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9/10).
- Support providers and office staff with prior authorizations, denials, and appeals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve reimbursement challenges in collaboration with customers and internal teams.
- Ensure proper documentation and accurate coding to optimize claim success.
- Manage and track inquiries to identify trends and inform strategic improvements.
- Assist in communicating the value of Stryker IVS products to payers and providers.
- Uphold compliance with HIPAA and company guidelines in all communications.
- Contribute to the development of reimbursement tools and resources to support broader strategic goals.
What You Need:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree; or associate’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience; or a high school degree and 6+ years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in medical coding, coverage, and reimbursement processes.
- 1+ year of experience working with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medigap, and commercial payer policies.
- 1+ year of experience working with prior authorization, denials, and appeals workflows.
- 1+ year of experience reviewing and interpreting operative notes, claims, EOBs, and other clinical documentation.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist – Physician (CCS-P) strongly preferred.

Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
