Midwestern University is seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistant – Rehabilitation to support the Rehabilitation Service within the Companion Animal Clinic in Glendale, AZ. You will assist with patient care, therapy preparation, and client education as part of a teaching hospital team.

The role involves working with veterinarians, technicians, and students to ensure safe and effective rehabilitation care for small animals, with opportunities for advancement based on competency and teaching

Qualifications

• Must have general veterinary assistant skills and knowledge of outpatient clinical procedures.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with clients and students.
• Dedication to team-based care, client service, and patient well-being.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist rehabilitation technicians, veterinarians, and students with patient care and rehabilitation treatments.
• Safely restrain and handle canine and feline rehabilitation patients.
• Assist with patient transfers, mobility support, and positioning.
• Prepare treatment areas and rehabilitation equipment prior to patient appointments.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment logs.
• Provide professional client service and reinforce home care instructions.
