Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I assists rehabilitation therapists with patient care and treatment in a hospital setting, following regulations and guidelines. Qualifications

• BLS (CPR) required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire within this role.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in hospital environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports daily therapy department processes and operations.
• Assists patients with daily personal activities.
• Prepares and transports patients according to the patient schedule.
• Assists therapists with daily care and patient therapy as delegated.
• Communicates to rehab therapists on outcomes/observations of patient care activities.
• Enhances patient safety through responsiveness to patients and caregivers.
• Asks for therapist assistance when patient needs exceed tech's position and skill level.
• Communicates patient concerns and/or change in condition to rehabilitation therapists.
• Maintains awareness of patient satisfaction and safety data.
• Mends with departmental equipment needs and time management.
