Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I to support rehabilitation therapists and deliver compassionate patient care in a hospital setting. The role involves assisting with daily patient care, preparing and transporting patients, and maintaining a safe environment under supervision.

Ideal candidates will have CPR certification, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and completion of Rehab Tech I training or equivalent.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred unless hospital policy requires otherwise.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completed Rehab Tech I training or equivalent in school or on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate closely with therapists and nurses to support daily patient care.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Prepare and transport patients according to schedules.
• Communicate outcomes and observations of patient care activities to therapists.
