Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship seeks a Rehab Assistant to support therapists in a busy inpatient setting. You will assist with registration, scheduling, and basic patient care under supervision.

Responsibilities include preparing treatment areas, transferring patients to the Rehab Gym, and entering charges. You’ll greet patients, collaborate with nurses and therapists, and help maintain a safe, orderly department.

Qualifications

• One year experience or education in therapies preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to greet patients and visitors courteously.

Responsibilities

• Assist with registration and scheduling of patients.
• Assist therapists with preparation of treatment areas and procedures.
• Transfer patients to and from the Rehab Therapy Gym.
• Prepare treatment areas and enter charges for services.
• Occasionally perform receptionist duties and filing.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• No supervisory responsibilities.
• Provide safe transportation of patients to and from the department.
