Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Rehabilitation Technician in the Speech Therapy department to assist licensed professionals with therapy interventions and routine patient care. Duties include direct patient care, equipment maintenance, and preparing treatment areas.

The role emphasizes assisting therapists, onboarding new staff, and participating in department quality activities within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School or GED (Required)
• One to three months related Experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of and Experience
• CPR Certification or must have within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• 85% Direct and indirect patient Care The Rehabilitation tech may be assigned routine duties that assist in the delivery of therapy care and operations, such as:
• Maintenance and care of equipment and supplies;
• Preparation, maintenance, and cleaning of treatment areas;
• Transportation of patients;
• Taking care of patients personal needs before, during or after treatments;
• Assisting in the construction of adaptive equipment and splints;
• Delivery and/ or dispensing of equipment &/or therapy supplies or materials.
• Assisting patients preparing for, during, and at the conclusion of treatment such as changing clothes, assisting during transfer, and altering position during treatment t ;
• Personally assisting the therapist, therapist assistant, student therapist, and/or student therapist assistant while the therapist, therapist assistant, student therapist, and/or student therapist assistant is concurrently providing services to the same patient.
