Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience as rehabilitation technician or other medical support services in health care setting.
• New York State Nurse’s Aide Certificate required for assignment to long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Obtains equipment, materials and supplies from storage areas and positions them for use.
• Prepares equipment and checks temperature controls for hydrotherapy, paraffin bath, and hot packs.
• Assists in routine treatment procedures and therapeutic activities under direct supervision of licensed staff.
• Assists in positioning patients and guiding them during therapy and activities.
