Qualifications

• Must hold NYS RN license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Holds, or obtains through facility orientation, a valid and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit.
• Diagnose and treat health problems by means of nursing methods and techniques.
• Develop, implement and continuously evaluate the nursing regimen for patients/clients.
• Record and maintain nursing care plans and progress notes for continuity of care.
• Interpret and report patient responses to health team members.
