Purpose of Position: Under direct supervision of a duly licensed professional staff member in the respective discipline, assists in providing technical and/or para-professional services in patient care and assists in rendering rehabilitative, occupational or physical therapeutic care in activity areas relating to the efficient and effective delivery of rehabilitative, therapeutic, medical and health care.
Minimum Qualifications
Special note: if performing basic Nurse’s Aide functions and activities in support of the above tasks, health care setting basic skills training program for Nurse’s Aide or its equivalent will be required. In addition to meeting the qualification requirements above, assignment to a long-term care facility requires a New York State Nurse’s Aide Certificate.
