Job Summary: The Rehabilitation Technician assists therapists and/or therapy assistants with routine tasks including cleaning, quality control, room set-up, inventory, patient and equipment preparation, patient care assistance, and documentation.

Essential Functions:

• Communicate with patients, visitors, and team members regarding patient care.
• Perform routine functions in patient care databases and systems, including electronic medical records.
• Assist therapists and assistants with patient care as needed.
• Maintain department supplies within budget guidelines.
• Conduct cleaning, quality control checks, temperature checks, whirlpool cultures, and other delegated tasks.
• Complete record keeping and assist with patient transportation as instructed.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED (required)

Required Licensing & Certifications:

• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH)

Experience: None required

Skills & Abilities:

• General computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and records management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work well with patients, the public, and healthcare professionals.
