Position Summary

We are seeking a full-time, experienced Medical Assistant to join our outpatient clinics across Richmond, VA. The CMA will work closely with physicians to deliver excellent patient care, including updating health records, measuring vital signs, and preparing treatment rooms.

Essential Functions
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting patients respectfully
  • Review and update patient charts, verify diagnostic test results, hospital reports, and other medical records
  • Measure vital signs such as pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and height
  • Perform clerical duties including checking inventory, stocking supplies, tracking referrals, and answering phones
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Licensure/Certification:

  • Active Medical Assisting Certification (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, required within 90 days)

Experience:

  • One year of healthcare experience as a medical assistant (preferred)
  • Two years of clerical experience in a physician’s office (preferred)

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong problem-solving, computer, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Professional interaction with staff and patients
Position Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • 1+ year experience in a medical facility (preferred)
  • CCMA or CMA certification (required)
