Job summary

ProHealth Rehabilitation Hospital of Wisconsin is seeking a Rehab Technician (PRN) to support therapists in achieving patient goals, safely transport patients to and from therapy, and document observations as part of the rehabilitation team.

The role requires a high school diploma, CPR certification, and 6–12 months of rehab setting experience. Strong communication, teamwork, and reliable time management are essential; lifting up to 50 lbs is routine.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification (as required).
• 6–12 months of relevant rehab setting experience recommended; willingness to participate in on-the-job training after orientation.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to follow directions; patient transport and safe lifting up to 50 lbs; observation and basic documentation; reliability, teamwork, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Follows patient care tasks as determined by the OTR/RPT to help patients achieve therapy goals.
• Safely transports patients to and from therapy and other activities.
• Communicates clearly with members of the rehabilitation team (verbal and written).
• Observes and recognizes patient reactions to treatment; follows instructions accurately.
• Lifts and carries equipment, supplies, and materials up to 50 lbs; uses proper body mechanics.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for
