Job summary

Alliance Orthopedics is seeking a Rehabilitation Technician in Bloomfield, NJ to join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to getting patients back to their activities. The role requires working full-time on-site, supporting therapists, and helping patients progress through customized rehabilitation plans.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Exercise Science or Kinesiology, has at least one year of relevant experience, and demonstrates strength, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or already obtained a degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience or equivalent.
• Physical strength to lift and move patients.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients to and from the waiting area and therapy area.
• Lift and move patients with mobility issues from tables and chairs.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises assigned by the Physical Therapist(s).
• Assist with patient progression through the use of PPTs for testing and assessments.
• Set up therapy equipment and modalities as required.
• Sanitize therapy areas after every patient.
• Assist floor staff with inventory and product replenishment.
• Monitor patient progress and collaborate with provider for progression/regression in PT programs.
• Maintain open communication with rehabilitation technicians, Athletic Trainers, and floor staff.
