Job summary

Alliance Orthopedics is seeking a Rehabilitation Technician to support therapy services at our Old Bridge, NJ location. Full-time, on-site, 4-day work week, with compensation $18.00-$21.00 per hour.

Reports to Lead Athletic Trainer and collaborates with therapists to guide patients through prescribed exercises. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science or Kinesiology (or in progress) and at least 1 year of related experience, with the ability to lift patients and maintain a high

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or already obtained a degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience or equivalent.
• Physical strength to lift and move patients.
• Patience and compassion; excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients to and from the waiting area and therapy area.
• Lift and move patients with mobility issues from tables and chairs.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises assigned by the Physical Therapist(s).
• Assist with patient progression through Physical Performance Testing and related assessments.
• Set up therapy equipment and modalities as required.
• Continuously sanitize therapy areas after every patient.
• Assist floor staff with inventory and product replenishment.
• Assist patients as they complete their functional rehabilitation programs.
• Maintain a safe and steady flow of patients as they finish up and arrive on site.
• Monitor patients' progress and collaborate with providers for progression/regression in PT program(s).
• Maintain open communication with rehabilitation technicians, Athletic Trainers, and floor staff.
