Job summary

Alliance Orthopedics is a multidisciplinary healthcare organization dedicated to helping patients return to the activities they love. The Rehabilitation Technician role in Union, NJ supports therapists in delivering evidence-based care and maintaining clean, safe therapy spaces.

Responsibilities include assisting patients, guiding therapeutic exercises, and monitoring progress under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or already obtained in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience or equivalent.
• Physical strength to lift and move patients.
• Patience and compassion.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients to and from the waiting area and therapy area.
• Lift and move patients with mobility issues from tables and chairs.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises assigned by the Physical Therapist(s).
• Assist with patient progression through PPTs (Physical Performance Testing).
• Set up therapy equipment and modalities as required.
• Continuously sanitize therapy areas after every patient.
• Assist floor staff with inventory and product replenishment.
• Monitor patients' progress and report to providers.
