Qualifications

• 1+ years related experience in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Listed is the base hiring salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to skills and experience. The salary range listed is just one component of the total rewards/compensation package offered to candidates.
Min = $20.95
Mid = $26.19
Max = $31.43

Summary: The Rehabilitation Technician provides support to the Rehabilitation Services department, including Physical and Occupational Therapy as well as Speech Language Pathology. The Rehabilitation Technician provides specific, task-designated support to patients receiving therapy under the direct supervision of the Physical or Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist.

Responsibilities:

• Provides treatment to patients using therapeutic exercises and activities under the direct supervision of the therapist.
• Aids therapists in performing patient evaluations, treatments, and tests. Participates in patient chart audits and gathers data for reports as requested by the therapist or department director.
• Repairs and cleans department equipment and maintains the treatment space according to patient safety and infection control standards.
• Assists in the documentation of patient treatments and progress, and regularly informs the therapist of patient status.
• Coordinates and communicates with other support staff, therapy assistants, and therapists to ensure continuity of treatment and to maximize department efficiencies.
• Enhances professional growth and development of self and others through participation in educational programs, continuing education, and team meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Credentials:
Essential:

• BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS)
• HS DIPLOMA/GED
• 1+ years related experience in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology preferred.
