Job summary

PACS is seeking a non-clinical rehabilitation support assistant to assist with equipment management, patient transport, and coordination with therapy staff in our facility. This role supports therapists and helps ensure efficient care delivery.

The position emphasizes safety, infection control, and accurate documentation, with patient confidentiality and teamwork as core requirements.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow technical procedures.
• Ability to effectively communicate with managers, coworkers, families, and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup for physical, occupational, and speech therapy treatments.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control and safety protocols.
• Communicate routinely with supervisor and healthcare personnel as directed.
• Coordinate residents' scheduling needs with therapists.
• Transport, transfer, and prepare patients and equipment per therapists’ instructions.
• Complete and submit logs and forms as directed by supervisor.
• Direct clinical questions to supervising Therapist and report unusual occurrences promptly.
• Participate in denials management and ensure timely claims/appeals per company procedures.
