Job summary

Villa Las Palmas Healthcare seeks a non-clinical rehabilitation support aide to enhance efficiency in therapy services. You will assist with equipment management, patient transport, and coordination with therapy staff, while monitoring rehabilitation documentation as directed by supervisors.

Responsibilities include setting up therapy treatments for physical, occupational, and speech therapies, maintaining a safe environment, and communicating routinely with therapists.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to relate positively with patients, families, staff, and colleagues.
• Ability to read and follow procedures and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup for physical, occupational, and speech therapy treatments, considering patient goals and precautions.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control and equipment maintenance protocols.
• Communicate routinely with supervisor and healthcare personnel as directed by therapists.
• Discuss scheduling needs with therapists of record to determine resident needs.
• Transport, transfer, and prepare patients and equipment as directed by therapists.
• Accurately complete and submit logs and other forms as directed by supervisor.
• Direct clinical questions to supervising Therapist and report promptly on unusual occurrences.
• Participate in denials management activities to ensure timely claims/appeals per company procedures.
• Monitor and order office and clinical supplies as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and company information.
