Sheppard Pratt in Timonium, MD, is seeking a Rehabilitation Specialist for our Residential Rehabilitation Program. This role provides a safe, therapeutic environment and works one-on-one with clients to build independent living skills.

You will ensure medication safety, collaborate on service plans, and transport clients to appointments while documenting follow-ups and advocating for residents throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Active driver’s license with 3 points or less and insured vehicle access.
• Availability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Provide a safe and therapeutic environment in a residential setting.
• Work one-on-one with clients to develop living and socialization skills.
• Ensure medication compliance with safety and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with a service team to implement individual plans.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments and document follow-ups.
• Offer advocacy and support as part of clients' trusted network.
• Receive mentorship from senior staff and complete required trainings.

You will **provide a safe and therapeutic environment** that encourages the overall independence and well-being of your clients.Under general supervision, your responsibilities will include:* Acting as a residential counselor as you **work one-on-one with clients** to learn or regain skills for successful community and independent living and socialization.* Ensuring **medication compliance** which involves responsibility for safety, dosage, and cleanliness.* Working as a part of a **collaborative service team** to develop and implement individual service plans.* Providing transportation and attending clients’ medical appointments. You will provide **advocacy services** throughout the appointment and ensure that all follow-up instruction is documented and/or followed through on.As you spend time with your clients, you will find yourself developing a rapport with your clients where **you become part of their trusted support system**.
