Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System in Tulsa, OK is seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Unit Patient Care Technician (PCT) for day shift. You will partner with a registered nurse to support patient care and ensure comfort, safety, and timely care for patients.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients, recording vital signs, assisting with mobility and activities of daily living, responding to call lights, maintaining a clean environment, and participating in hourly rounds and bedside shift reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• Preferred CNA, PCT, or paramedic certification or enrollment in nursing school.
• Minimum of two years of experience in acute or long-term care.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy.

Responsibilities

• Work in partnership with the registered nurse to support patient care.
• Monitor patients at timed intervals, document data as directed, and report observations and patient concerns to the registered nurse.
• Obtain and record patients' vital signs accurately.
• Respond promptly to all call lights.
• Assist patients with mobility and basic tasks, such as bathing, dressing, eating and other ADLs.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and staff.
• Participate in purposeful hourly rounding and bedside shift report as directed.
• Perform direct and indirect patient care duties as assigned and may provide clerical support to assigned unit.
