Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital seeks a PRN Occupational Therapist to join our team at St. Mary’s Acute. The role focuses on evaluating patients and delivering occupational therapy plans under the supervision of the multidisciplinary team.

The therapist supports restoration of function for adults in a rehabilitation setting, adheres to state licensure and program guidelines, and engages patients and families in goal-directed care. PRN scheduling varies with patient needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association accredited OT program.
• Licensure is required in every US State and Territory the Therapist is practicing.
• Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is required.
• Possesses and maintains BLS certification.
• Munson Location Specific: Current American Heart Association BLS Course for Healthcare Professionals.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ need for occupational therapy and plan treatment.
• Provide patient care, treatment, and services within license scope.
• Establish written treatment plans and administer treatment.
• Re-evaluate patient status and revise goals as needed.
• Document patient status and progress according to guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to integrate therapy into overall care.
• Instruct patient and family in OT procedures and home programs.
