Job summary

The Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana (RHI) in Indianapolis is seeking a Registered Nurse (Days) to provide nursing care to physical medicine rehabilitation patients and coordinate care with the health care team.

Qualifications

• Nursing Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing
• Current State of Indiana or Compact Licensure as a Registered Nurse
• CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessment for the physical medicine rehabilitation patient population.
• Establishes compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and families.
• Ensures quality of care by adhering to standards and adjusting care as patient conditions change.
• Promotes patient independence by educating patients and families about condition and medications.
• Develops individualized care plans with goals and nursing interventions.
• Focuses on customer satisfaction including patients, coworkers, visitors, vendors and physicians.
