Job summary

Indianapolis Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care within a rehabilitation setting. You will apply the nursing process to plan and deliver care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.

The role requires current RN licensure and BLS certification. Inpatient rehab experience is preferred, with strong communication and organizational skills to meet tight timelines and coordinate discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Detail-oriented, able to meet strict time frames.

Responsibilities

• Provide planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process: Assessment, Planning, Intervention and Evaluation.
• Develop nursing care plans in coordination with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff as necessary.
• Communicate changes in patient’s clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate.
• Participate in discharge planning process.
