Job summary

Integrative Pet Care is seeking a Rehabilitation Assistant to support veterinarians and therapists while helping dogs and cats recover and improve their quality of life.

You will gain hands-on training in rehabilitation techniques, anatomy, and animal therapies, working closely with clients and pet families to ensure treatment plans are understood and followed.

Qualifications

  • At least two years of veterinary experience, including patient care and client communication.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with practice management software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Comfort working with animals of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
  • Willingness to learn new therapies and rehabilitation techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians and therapists during exams and treatments, including laser therapy, acupuncture, and treadmill sessions.
  • Manage patient records and assist with treatment plans, including documenting exercises for clients.
  • Communicate with pet owners to gather patient histories and explain treatment programs.
  • Maintain equipment, prepare treatment areas, and ensure the facility is organized and welcoming.
  • Occasionally assist with diagnostics such as blood draws and radiographs under supervision.
