Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in East Meadow, NY is seeking a Rehabilitation Aide to join the Allied Health — Rehabilitation Therapy team. Under the supervision of a therapist, you will assist with direct patient care at bedside and in the department, contributing to patient-focused care.

You will help with patient setup, maintain department cleanliness, and support safety and equipment checks, while growing in a team-oriented, education-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Assist with limited direct patient care duties related to Physical and/or Occupational Therapy as directed by the supervising therapist.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain department cleanliness and adequate levels of supplies.
• Promote patient safety through proper body mechanics and equipment checks.
• Assist the supervising therapist with patient setup and preparation for treatment.
