Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in East Meadow is seeking an Occupational Therapist for per diem coverage. The role involves providing safe, therapeutic therapy to restore or improve functional abilities, while planning and evaluating care with the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy; ACOTE-approved NYS OT program.
• Current NYS OT license and registration.
• Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Evaluates and assesses patients with tests and measures; establish plan of care with measurable goals.
• Implements and modifies interventions based on patient status and plan of care.
• Collaborates with healthcare team to optimize outcomes and goals.
• Educates patient and family; provides home exercise program and safety guidance.
• Reassesses progress and updates plan of care accordingly.
• Maintains accurate documentation per DOH and TJC requirements; supports quality initiatives.
