Job summary

Passavant Rehabilitation, part of UPMC, seeks a full-time Rehabilitation Aide to join the team. The position works Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with two weekend shifts per month, providing patient care and clerical support under supervision of licensed clinicians.

You may transport patients, assist in therapy activities, maintain supplies, document activities, and help mentor therapy volunteers, all while adhering to safety, regulatory standards, and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Assists in patient care under licensed staff supervision.
• Performs clerical duties including logs, registration, and scheduling.
• Transports patients between units as required.

Responsibilities

• Completes clerical duties such as daily logs, registration, charges, and scheduling for in/out patients.
• Maintains medical supplies; conducts weekly inventory and informs secretary of needed orders.
• Supports occupational, physical, and speech therapy under state practice acts.
• Mentors new aides and therapy volunteers as requested.
• Notifies health care team of patient whereabouts and safety needs.
• Maintains safe, neat work areas and cleans equipment per standards.
• Documents statistics, activities, exercises and outcomes as directed by the licensed clinician.
