Job summary

Professional Physical Therapy is seeking an Occupational Therapy Aide to join our Northeast team. You will work with licensed therapists to assist in patient treatment, support rehabilitation, and help patients regain strength and mobility.

Responsibilities include preparing treatment areas, maintaining equipment, and assisting with transfers and daily tasks, ensuring a clean, safe environment for patients across our network of clinics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina for tasks that may require heavy lifting or prolonged standing.
• Adheres to HIPAA and OSHA laws and regulations as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and prepare treatment areas for patient sessions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment as needed during treatment sessions.
• Escort patients to and from treatment areas and provide assistance as necessary.
• Maintain an organized and clean treatment area.
• Prepare hot and cold packs.
• Maintain and clean the treating tables.
• Aides are responsible for laundry.
