Job summary

InnovAge is seeking a Rehabilitation Aide to assist with participant treatments and the daily upkeep of the rehabilitation department. Under the supervision of therapy staff, you will help with home visits and equipment management.

You will transport participants, apply heat/cold therapy, monitor vitals, assist with mobility and exercise programs, and help with clerical tasks while maintaining a safe, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable personal transportation.
• Minimum of one year experience working with frail or elderly.

Responsibilities

• Transports and prepares participants for treatment and provides support.
• Applies and monitors hot/cold packs and paraffin as assigned by the therapist.
• Monitors vital signs and reports abnormalities to the supervising therapist.
• Assists with ambulation, transfers and mobility per specific plan of care.
• Delivers passive treatments and guides exercise programs under therapist supervision.
• Delivers and retrieves Durable Medical Equipment (DME) as needed.
• Maintains records of DME and inventories supplies.
