Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corp. is seeking a Rehabilitation Aide to perform or assist with personal care for participants in the home or at the PACE Center. The role supports physical, mental, and occupational therapies under supervision to improve patients' functional abilities.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience with the frail elderly and disabled is preferred. Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish/Cantonese/Mandarin) are desirable, and a valid BLS or higher

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements: high school diploma or equivalent.
• College work in a health career is desirable.
• Restorative Nurse Assistant Certified preferred.
• One year of experience in a medical care setting as an Aide is desirable.
• 1-2 years of experience with frail elderly and disabled populations preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish/Cantonese/Mandarin preferred.
• BL S certification or higher is a minimum requirement.

Responsibilities

• Perform or assist with personal care ADLs/IADLs for participants in the home or at the PACE Center under supervision.
• Follow through with a treatment plan established by supervising Therapist to increase and maintain functional abilities.
• Focus on providing exceptional customer experience and quality care for geriatric populations.

Job Overview

The Rehabilitation Aide will perform or assist with personal care ADLs/IADLs for participants in the home if needed. If at the PACE Center, the Rehabilitation Aide assists with treatments for physical, mental, and occupational disabilities, injuries, and illnesses under the guidance and direct supervision of a licensed PACE Physical or Occupational Therapist. Rehabilitation Aides are to follow through with a treatment plan established by the supervising Therapist to increase, restore, and maintain the patient's functional capabilities. The role of the Rehabilitation Aide is to focus on providing exceptional customer experience and quality care to the geriatric population whether at home or the PACE center. The ability to meet the specific needs of these age groups may be gained through previous education, experience, and training.

Minimum Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent, is required. College work in a health career is desirable.
• Restorative Nurse Assistant Certified preferred.
• One year of experience in a medical care setting as an Aide in an allied health field is desirable.
• At least 1-2 years of experience working with the frail elderly (Geriatric) and disabled population.
• Bilingual English/Spanish/Cantonese/Mandarin preferred.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Compensation

$25.00 - $25.00 hourly
