AltaMed Health Services Corp. is hiring a Personal Care Attendant I to support participants across care delivery, assist with food service prep, and coordinate centers activities.

You will help meet the recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs of each participant and accompany PACE participants to appointments. Qualified candidates will typically have a high school diploma, a valid BLS or higher, and may hold a California Food Handler certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• California Food Handler Certificate preferred, must be attained within 30 days of employment.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the frail elderly and disabled population, preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish/Cantonese/Mandarin preferred.
• A valid BLS certification or higher required following AHA/Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support participants across all platforms of delivery of care.
• Coordinate preparation of all food services and assist center activities.
• Coordinate delivery of quality activity programs for all participants.
• Ensure recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs of each patient are met.

Job Overview

The Personal Care Attendant I provides support to participants across all platforms of delivery of care. Ability to assist in the coordination, preparation of all food services, support and assist center activities, and coordinate the delivery of quality activity programs/activities for all participants. Ensure that the recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs of each patient are met. Accompany/assist PACE participants to and from outside specialty appointments.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• California Food Handler Certificate of Achievement upon employment preferred, must be attained within 30 days of employment.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the frail elderly (Geriatric) and disabled population, preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish/Cantonese/Mandarin preferred.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Compensation

$25.00 - $25.00 hourly
