Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I to support therapists, assist with daily patient care, and ensure patient safety. The role collaborates with nurses and the care team to provide patient-centered treatment.

The position emphasizes compassionate care, ongoing learning, and contribution to a nationally recognized inpatient rehabilitation leader with 150 locations nationwide.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred unless hospital policy requires otherwise.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Has completed elements required for clinical ladder Rehab Tech I or equivalent training in school or on-the-job

Responsibilities

• Support therapists' daily patient care and therapy activities.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
• Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
• Communicate to therapists on outcomes/observations of patient care activities.
