Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I to support therapists, set up equipment, and help deliver compassionate patient care in a hospital-based rehab setting.

You will work closely with therapists and nurses to promote safety and patient-centered treatment, manage transport according to the schedule, and communicate with patients and families to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Has completed elements required for clinical ladder Rehab Tech I or equivalent training in school or on-the-job training.
• CPR certification preferred (unless hospital policy requires otherwise).

Responsibilities

• Support therapists' daily patient care and therapy activities.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
• Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
• Communicate to therapists on outcomes/observations of patient care activities.
