Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation in Bluffton, SC seeks a Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I to support therapists and deliver patient-centered care in a busy inpatient setting.

You will set up equipment, transport patients, communicate outcomes to therapists, and collaborate with nurses to maintain safety and quality of care. A high school diploma and CPR certification are encouraged; on-the-job training or school-based rehab tech ladders apply.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred (unless hospital policy requires otherwise).
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Has completed elements required for clinical ladder Rehab Tech I or equivalent training in school or on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Support therapists' daily patient care and therapy activities.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
• Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
• Communicate to therapists on outcomes/observations of patient care activities.
