Job summary

Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen, Texas, seeks a Rehab Services Supervisor to lead therapy teams, oversee staffing and schedules, and ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. The role may include clinical therapy duties under physician orders and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The Supervisor coordinates staffing, monitors therapy services, and supports patient satisfaction while mentoring staff and upholding safety and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Three years of clinical experience required, outpatient experience preferred.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in a Rehabilitative Science (PT, OT, ST).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
• (LPT) Licensed Physical Therapist, or (OT) Occupational Therapist, or (SLP) Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Texas is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and implements staffing schedules.
• Determines admission category placement in absence of case manager.
• Completes rounding on therapy staff as scheduled.
• Acts as liaison between patients, family, staff and physicians.
• Identifies patient complaints and reports issues to management.
• Notifies leaders of quality, safety or risk issues.
• Ensures timely documentation of services and daily charges.
• Compiles reports for chaplaincy, social services, nursing administration, etc.
