Job summary

Lexington Health and Rehab in Saint Petersburg, FL seeks a Rehabilitation Technician to support therapy teams by assisting with patient care, preparing therapy areas, and ensuring safe, high-quality rehabilitation services for residents.

Under the supervision of licensed therapists, you will transport residents, monitor activities, maintain infection control, and help with non-skilled tasks while upholding HIPAA and facility policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in healthcare, rehab, or long-term care preferred.
• Able to follow instructions under licensed supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to assist residents with mobility (lifting, standing, bending, walking).

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists with treatment sessions as directed.
• Transport residents to and from therapy sessions safely and on time.
• Prepare therapy areas and equipment before and after treatments.
• Monitor residents during exercises and report concerns to supervising therapist.
• Provide encouragement and support to residents during rehabilitation activities.
• Clean, organize, and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas with infection control standards.
• Assist with non-skilled tasks related to patient care as permitted by state regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and facility policies.
• Stock supplies and report equipment or maintenance needs promptly.
