Job summary

Scripps Mercy Chula Vista is seeking a Rehab Therapy Aide to join the inpatient rehabilitation team. This full-time role supports therapists, delivers patient-centered care, and emphasizes teamwork, communication, and attention to detail in a hospital environment.

You will assist in providing age-appropriate services (adolescents to geriatrics) under licensed supervision, participate in quality improvement, and perform various administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• BLS (American Heart Assoc.)
• Preferred: Previous experience working under the direct supervision of a physical/occupational therapist or assistant in an outpatient and/or inpatient acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• assist in providing age-appropriate services for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including direct treatment, under appropriate licensed supervision, to individuals and groups, evaluation and selection of adaptive equipment
• participate in quality improvement programs, and documentation of services according to hospital and departmental standards.
