Berkshire Health Systems in Pittsfield, MA is seeking an assistant to support licensed therapists in delivering treatment to a variety of illnesses and disabilities. You will perform assigned tasks in areas of direct and non-direct patient care under supervision, helping patients reach maximum independence.

DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION

Assists therapists in providing treatment with a wide variety of illnesses and disabilities to help patients achieve a maximum level of independence. Performs assigned tasks in areas of direct and non-direct patient care. All patient care responsibilities are under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist or therapist assistant.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)

Experience:

• Knowledge in medical terminology required.
• Ability to comprehend, speak and write the English language. Knowledge in medical terminology required.

Education and Training:

• HS graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and other health care providers required.
• Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple job tasks on a daily basis to meet the needs of the department required.
• Knowledge of PC's preferred.

License, Certification & Registration:

• N/A

• Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prostheses that will enable these senses to function adequately so the requirements of the position can be fully met.

The minimum and maximum of the hourly pay range for this position is shown above. Actual rates of pay may vary based on a range of factors including but not limited to experience and qualifications.
