Job summary

Saint Luke's Hospital is seeking a PRN Rehab Tech to join our team. Assists in preparing patients for treatment under the supervision of Physical and Occupational Therapists or Assistants, Speech Pathologists and Audiologists, and other clinic staff.

Performs routine tasks and assists therapists during patient treatment activities as directed. Responsibilities include lifting, transferring and ambulation of patients, assisting with ADLs, transporting patients, environmental cleaning, stocking

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year experience
• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross

Responsibilities

• Participates in lifting, transferring and ambulation of patients and/or equipment
• Participates in ADLs specifically dressing and grooming as assigned by clinical staff
• Assists with supervised feeding programs
• Uses professional judgement to ensure safety to self, patients, and others
• Transport patients to and from the Rehab Department
• Environmental cleaning
• Takes inventory, ordering and stocking supplies
• Issues DME under the direction of the therapist
• Performs set up and cleanup of treatment area including equipment and supplies
• May mentor or train new technician staff members
• Performs all other duties as requested by the manager
• May be involved with clerical and computer skills
• Performs patient blood pressure readings during treatment under the guidance of clinical staff

• PRN: 830-5, minimum work requirement is 5 shifts in 8 weeks - 2 weekend shifts, 1 weekday shift, 2 other shifts
• Participates in lifting, transferring and ambulation of patients and/or equipment

• Assists with supervised feeding programs
• Uses professional judgement to always ensure safety to self, patients, and others
