Job description

HealthPRO / Heritage is seeking a Full Time Physical Therapy Aide / Rehab Tech for both Masconomet Healthcare Center, a SNF in Topsfield, MA, and Hannah Duston Healthcare Center, a SNF in Haverhill, MA.

Essential Functions May Include:

  • Perform activities to promote the comfort, mobility, and independence of residents.
  • Support licensed therapists to enable them to perform their duties effectively.
  • Order equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain department equipment through cleaning, disinfection, and organization.
  • Complete clerical work to support the department.

The Rehabilitation Aide plays a vital role in promoting residents' comfort, mobility, and independence, supporting licensed professionals to perform their duties effectively.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist with transporting residents to and from therapy.
  2. Assist residents in preparation for treatment.
  3. Assist therapists with resident evaluations, as instructed.
  4. Support licensed therapists with treatment programs tailored for each resident, as instructed.
  5. Maintain inventories and order necessary equipment.
  6. Attend meetings and in-service sessions as directed.
  7. Adhere to facility policies and participate in quality improvement and safety programs.
  8. Support the company’s commitment to compassionate care and project a professional image to foster confidence in the rehab program.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Some experience in the care and treatment of residents in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to understand and follow directions from licensed professionals.
