Rehab Technician - Afternoon Shift

Department: Rehabilitation/Therapy

Compensation: $18.00 / hour

Nursing Home Facility
Now seeking a high energy, goal oriented, team player to join our team as a rehabilitation technician.

Rehabilitation Technicians will be working one-on-one and as part of a team with rehabilitation patients in our in-patient subacute facility. Candidate will learn the latest rehabilitation approaches and equipment, providing an excellent opportunity for those pursuing direct patient care and/or physical therapy, occupational therapy or speech language pathology.

Candidates with a strong desire to work along side a team providing patient care and therapy are strongly encouraged to apply. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Patient/Resident transportation to and from rehabilitation area
• Therapy set-up and breakdown
• Assisting therapists in providing a therapeutic and safe environment.
• Maintaining equipment and working area
• Working as a team in setting up and preparing for group activities/therapy
• Able to foster a positive and encouraging working environment for staff and patients/residents
• Performing clerical duties, filing, computer work, etc.
• Reports directly to assigned therapists and Director of Rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Strong verbal, written communication and organizational skills, required.

Candidate considering the of study Occupational, Physical therapy, Speech Language Pathology or students of related fields are strongly encouraged to apply.
