Job summary

mbhealthcare in New Jersey is seeking a high-energy rehabilitation technician to join our inpatient subacute facility. You will work one-on-one with patients and as part of a therapy team, assisting therapists and supporting a safe, therapeutic environment.

Training is provided and candidates pursuing studies in Occupational, Physical Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology are encouraged to apply. High school diploma required; strong communication and organizational skills essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong verbal, written communication and organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients/residents to and from the rehabilitation area.
• Set up and breakdown therapy sessions.
• Assist therapists in providing a therapeutic and safe environment.
• Maintain equipment and the working area.
• Collaborate with the team in preparing for group activities/therapy.
• Foster a positive and encouraging environment for staff and patients/residents.
• Perform clerical duties, filing, computer work, etc.
• Report to assigned therapists and Director of Rehabilitation.

Nursing Home Facility

Now seeking a high energy, goal oriented, team player to join our team as a rehabilitation technician.

Rehabilitation Technicians

will be working one-on-one and as part of a team with rehabilitation patients in our in-patient subacute facility. Candidate will learn the latest rehabilitation approaches and equipment, providing an excellent opportunity for those pursuing direct patient care and/or physical therapy, occupational therapy or speech language pathology.

Candidates with a strong desire to work along side a team providing patient care and therapy are strongly encouraged to apply. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Patient/Resident transportation to and from rehabilitation area
• Therapy set-up and breakdown
• Assisting therapists in providing a therapeutic and safe environment.
• Maintaining equipment and working area
• Working as a team in setting up and preparing for group activities/therapy
• Able to foster a positive and encouraging working environment for staff and patients/residents
• Performing clerical duties, filing, computer work, etc.
• Reports directly to assigned therapists and Director of Rehabilitation.
