Job summary

Saint Luke's South Hospital is seeking a full-time Rehab Tech in Overland Park, KS to support patient care in the rehabilitation department. You will assist with lifting, transfers, ambulation, ADLs, and supervised feeding under the direction of clinical staff.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., plus 2–3 weekend shifts with a day off during the week for the weekend shift every 6–8 weeks. Some clerical duties and blood pressure readings may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year
• Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross

Responsibilities

• Participates in lifting, transferring and ambulation of patients and/or equipment
• Participates in ADLs specifically dressing and grooming as assigned by clinical staff
• Assists with supervised feeding programs
• Uses professional judgement to always ensure safety to self, patients, and others
• Transport patients to and from the Rehab Department
• Environmental cleaning
• Taking inventory, ordering and stocking supplies
• Issues DME under the direction of the therapist
• Performs set up and cleanup of treatment area including appropriate equipment and supplies
• May be involved in mentoring, training of new technician staff members
• Performs all other duties as requested by the manager
• May be involved with clerical and computer skills
• Performs patient blood pressure readings during treatment under the guidance of clinical staff
