Job summary

Saint Luke’s is seeking a PRN Rehab Aide to support physical, occupational and speech therapy services across acute care, rehab and outpatient settings. You will help prepare patients for treatment, assist with transfers, manage equipment and transport patients to the Rehab Department.

Weekday and holiday shifts are required; some weekday half-days may be possible. Prior BLS certification and <1 year of relevant experience are commonly requested.)

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support certification required (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing patients for treatment with therapists and assistants in acute care, rehab, and outpatient settings.
• Help with transferring patients, managing equipment, stocking supplies and transporting patients to the Rehab Department.
• Assist with environmental cleaning, inventory and use of advanced technology and robotic devices where needed.

The Opportunity

Assists in preparing patient for treatment by Physical and Occupational Therapists/Assistants and Speech Pathologists in acute care, rehab, and outpatient settings. Performs routine tasks and assists therapists during patient treatment activities. Tasks include but are not limited to the following: assisting with transferring patients, managing and tracking equipment, environmental cleaning, taking inventory, stocking supplies, assisting with advanced technology and robotic devices, assisting with feeding group, and transporting patients to and from Rehab Department. Annual competency maintained and documented.

Weekday and Holiday shifts required. Helpful to have some week day availability.
